Primedice has rolled its last dice.
For thirteen years Primedice was the original Bitcoin dice game: one number, one slider, a provably fair roll. The site closed on 8 October 2026. The game lives on at Stake.
What happened to Primedice
Primedice closed on 8 October 2026. Players were asked to withdraw their balances before that date and to continue playing on Stake, where Dice remains one of the most played Stake Originals.
Your account
Primedice sign-in is closed. To keep playing, create or use your account on Stake.com, where Dice and the other Stake Originals live.
Funds and questions
To withdraw remaining funds, go to Stake.com. For anything else about a former Primedice account, the Stake support team can help through the Stake help centre.
The game
Dice on Stake keeps everything that made Primedice work: roll over or under, a 1% house edge, instant results and seeds you can verify yourself.
A short history
Primedice helped define what a crypto casino game could be: no account friction, transparent odds and a result anyone could check.
- Primedice launches as one of the first Bitcoin dice games. A single game, a single slider, and provably fair rolls from day one.
- Billions of rolls later, Primedice becomes the best-known dice site in crypto, with a chat, rain and a community that outlasted most of the market.
- The team behind Primedice launches Stake.com, taking the same provably fair approach to a full casino and sportsbook.
- The same founders launch Kick, the live streaming platform.
- Primedice closes. Dice continues as a Stake Original.
How provably fair dice worked
Every Primedice roll could be recomputed by the player. Three inputs went into one hash, and the hash decided the number.
Server seed
Generated by the house and shown to you as a hash before you bet, so it could not be changed after the roll.
Client seed
Chosen by you and editable at any time, so the house could not know the combined input in advance.
Nonce
A counter that increased with every bet, so each roll under the same seed pair was different.
The roll
HMAC_SHA256(serverSeed, clientSeed:nonce) was turned into a number from 0.00 to 100.00. Reveal the server seed and anyone can verify the result.
